We live in this neighborhood because we love it! Here are some of our favorite places... and a map with all of them.

Coolidge Corner, Brookline

Hungry? This neighborhood has some great food choices. You can go for coffee and sandwiches at Temptations Cafe (a Rebecca favorite) or for burritos at Boca Grande (Ben's favorite). For something Ben and Rebecca can agree on, try JP Licks for ice cream. There are also great Asian eateries in this neighborhood, including Fugakyu, Pho Lemongrass, and Yasu.

Right across from JP Licks is the Coolidge Corner movie theater, which runs popular, independent, camp, and documentary films. This area also has a great variety of independent shops and some big name stores.

Boston
Whatever you want to do, you can do it in Boston. For arts, the Museum of Fine Arts is accessible by T and has a great collection. The Museum of Science and the Aquarium are both similarly extensive, but a bit more hands on and family friendly. Next to the Aquarium you can sign up to take a boat ride around the harbor or, if the timing is right, go on a whale watch. The theater district has many theaters that show everything from well known musicals to smaller, artier productions. The Boston Ballet will be performing the week of the wedding; if you'd like to catch a show while you're in town, we can help!

On nice days, walk the Freedom Trail, a self-guided tour of historic Boston sites, identifiable by the red stripe on the ground. This will bring you past the Boston Common and the Public Gardens, where the flowers should be just starting to bloom, plus many more.

Rather shop? Visit Fanieul Hall, which has shops, food, tourists, and history. Or walk Newbury Street between the Public Gardens and Mass Ave. The shops generally go from priciest at the Gardens end on down to affordable by Mass Ave. Fun fact: the cross streets here go alphabetically and the streets are some of the few in Boston that make right angles at intersections. That's because this part of Back Bay was actually once a bay and was later filled in with dirt from Rebecca's hometown.
